The position of executive director (ED) is important for every organization and he has a key role to play in driving the company towards profit and reaching the company goals. The junior mangers manage and supervise the different departments and fields and there are individual mangers to supervise employees in each department. Yet there may be a doubt about the person who manages the entire organization structure.
And executive director is the person who manages the entire organization and motivates all the departments to achieve the company goals. They are sometimes termed as chief executive officer or president. The responsibilities of the executive director alter with presence or absence of board of directors. They coordinate with board of directors of the company and forward the policies and strategies decided by the board of directors and make sure that he implements the strategies in a proper way.
The ED is solely responsible to look after the activities in the organization. The executive director takes part in every aspect and inspects the performance of every department in the organization. They look after the administration, finance and technical departments of the company.
They even conduct tests to recruit the highly qualified candidate and screen them to find out the efficient candidate from the group of interviewees attending the interview. They set the goals for each department and look after the performance of each employee. The role of the executive director varies with type of organization. The executive director mainly focuses on two aspects in the company that includes marketing and planning strategies. The proper marketing can promote the company products or service and increase its sales. The proper planning can help in find out new ways to develop the business.
